Bamatain Bitterbraids is a half-dwarf and half-human barbarian. Her mother was a dwarf, and her father was a human. It was forbidden by the dwarf clans to intermingle with other races, so the family lived in the remote jungles of Kazadaan, where neither humans nor dwarfs enjoyed living. There, they raised their daughter Bamatain. Early in life, she was interested in climbing the bald cypress trees. She had to chop a lot of wood for her family and did hard physical labor. Eventually, her father taught her how to swing a large hammer given to him by his father. The hammer itself weighs 70 pounds and can build strong shoulders and arms. While many think such a vast two-handed weapon would disadvantage a quick and agile fighter, she proved to be as fast and effective as a stealthy fighter. Eventually, her family told her many would not accept her as a mix, yet she ignored it and continued believing in herself.

With that information, their parents let her go, as she didn’t want to stay to be known to chop wood only but to broaden her mind and explore the world. She traveled far and wide, explaining little about herself to those curious about her. She found side jobs but barely made ends meet. Eventually, with the discovery of the Dungeoneer’s Guild, she was entirely accepted into the establishment. Many different races and rarities accepted her immediately. They didn’t care what color of skin, what race, or what beliefs. All they cared about was being a notable institution known to clean out dangerous caves and dungeons that harm the inhabitants of the lands. With a new home, she now travels to fulfill the contracts given to her. One day, she will revisit her family and tell them she found a purpose in life and this is to be a dungeoneer.
