The Roman Breviary of Francisco de Quiñones

Venetian Edition of A.D. 1535

Curated by Johanne Wickham Legg in A.D. 1888

Reimaged by T. Ojala and curated by G. Filotto in A.D. 2020

Please Note: The Main body of this work is in LATIN. Introductory notes are in English.

Created by the Ultramontane Franciscan Monk Francisco de Quiñones for his personal use, this breviary became extremely popular, due to its practicality. Although this version was perfectly legitimate and widespread, it eventually fell out of favour with Pius V who in 1568 excluded it as too short and too modern, and issued a reformed editionIn the introduction to this work, we have provided tables showing the changes between this breviary and the ones approved by Pius V, so that Catholic Clergy can still use this version as a reference while being aware of the additions they are to make to be in perfect alignment with tradition without dropping any aspect of it. Nevertheless, the intent here was to produce as affordable an edition as possible (meaning the shortest) in physical printed form for the average Catholic layman.

This work was created specifically to retain the true traditions of the Catholic Church in as convenient a manner as possible.

We issue this work in the true spirit of the Crusaders of 1095, as loyal Catholics who respect and abide by Catholic Canon Law and the Magisterium of the Church, as specifically and explicitly stated in the last valid compilation of Catholic Canon Law: The Pio-Benedictine Code of Canon Law of 1917 and particularly Canon 188 part 4. Should you be further interested in the current state of the Church we suggest you also acquire the book by Giuseppe Filotto titled:

Reclaiming The Catholic Church: The True History of Vatican II and the Visible Remnant of the Real Catholic Church now that the Vatican is a Pederast Infested Hive of Impostors
