The Crusades – Iron Men and Saints is the first of two volumes, written in 1930 by Harold Lamb, about the first Crusade of 1095. Now in the public domain, this unparalleled work of historical fact can be brought to interested people everywhere once more.

Harold Lamb undertook an astonishing work, going back to source documents that he read himself, as in addition to English, he was fluent in French, Latin, Persian, and Arabic, and, by his own account, a smattering of Manchu-Tartar. The factual events that took place at the time were verified by his reading not only the documents from one side of the conflict, but from both. His second volume: The Crusades – The Flame of Islam was published in 1931 and will be similarly reproduced later in 2024.

We sincerely hope this work rekindles the fire of a Catholicism that most know little about, due to the inversion of that religion since the introduction of the Vatican II sect, as well as correct many of the misconceptions and outright lies that have been presented about the Crusades in more modern times.
