This stunning drop-dial wall clock tells a fascinating tale of international collaboration from the late 19th century.

Known by horologists as an "Anglo-American Export," this piece represents a unique era in clockmaking. During the late 1800s, the Ansonia Clock Company exported thousands of their highly reliable brass movements and dials from New York to the United Kingdom. English case-makers would then craft beautiful, custom wooden cases around these American components to suit refined European tastes. Because these were hybrid export pieces, they are famously missing from standard American factory catalogs.
