Painting Reps: 30-Day Loose Painting Workbook
Paint badly, on purpose. 20 minutes a day for 30 days.
Most people stop painting because every painting has to be good. This workbook takes that rule away.
For 30 days you do one 20-minute "rep": pick today's exercise, set a timer, paint, and stop at the bell, even mid-brushstroke. A rep counts the moment you stop. No fixing, no judging, no perfect paintings required.
How it works
- Each day is one printable page: three plain instructions, a materials list, a space to note what happened and what to try next, and a tick box.
- Week 1 starts with an Ugly Painting and the 20-minute rep. Later weeks play with big brushes, your wrong hand, three values, mud, no outlines, painting to music, impossible colours, warm vs cool, lost and found edges and choosing your own palette.
- Every seventh day is a rest and review rep, with a worksheet to look back and plan forward.
- Day 30 is your Exhibition Day: choose three paintings, title them, and pin them up at home.
