Frank the Poet (Clarinet Quartet)

Frank is a well-known Australian convict who happened to be a brilliant poet. The first piece is the folk song, Moreton Bay, which he also composed. The second piece is based on a poem about a daring escape from Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) aboard a stolen ship. This poem was well known in its day, though the original tune is lost in history. The third piece is based on a poem Frank wrote picking on the judicial system. This work is for clarinet quartet. Also available is 'A Convict's Life', for vocal and clarinet quartet.

Instrumentation: Clarinet Quartet: Clarinet 1, Clarinet 2, Clarinet 3 and Bass Clarinet.
