Gean (the wild cherry in Scots) is a fun and quick summer knit, featuring lace leaves growing up the side of the foot from toe to cuff. Knit from the toe up with a gusset and heel flap and flexible length fitting on the foot, these socks are a great knit for everyone!

The pattern is fully written with charts for the lace and has been tech-edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the knitting pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. You will also need to know how to do a double sided cast-on like Judy’s Magic Cast-On and a stretchy bind-off like Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.

Summer socks featuring an elegant and - nice to knit - lace pattern

I really enjoyed knitting these socks! The pattern was easy to follow, and the final result looked great. My daughter absolutely loved them and has been getting many compliments whenever she wears them. It was a fun and satisfying project
