About the artwork

Van Gogh painted Wheat Field with Cypresses in the summer of 1889 at Saint-Rémy, and thought of it as one of his best summer pictures. Swirling clouds, golden wheat and the dark flame of the cypress make a rich, textured design for a confident stitcher.
