Grass agate is a form of Moss agate, brown and green striping through frosted white layers of chalcedony.The agate nodules are then cut and polished to reveal the intricate patterns and colors of grass and moss. Grass agate is mined by extracting the host rocks that contain the agate nodules or geodes.
