In April 2023, I followed the Semana Santa processions through four of Andalusia’s most iconic cities — Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, and Cadiz. What I found was something I wasn’t fully prepared for: the silence of the crowds, the weight of the candles, the smell of incense in narrow streets that haven’t changed in centuries.

This book is my attempt to capture that.

Split across all four cities, with a dedicated chapter of street snapshots from each location, this is not a travel guide. It’s a visual diary of one of the most emotionally charged religious events in the world.
