My memoir, A Journey 2 Tough to Quit, is more than a book—it’s a mission.

I am a former New Yorker who now lives in Delaware, a proud mother of two sons, Shawn and Thomas, and a grandmother of six. I am also an advocate and co-founding member of the National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls, a movement dedicated to reimagining communities, supporting individuals, and opposing prison expansion.

I believe every experience in my life serves a greater purpose. My guiding motto and mantra is:

“NOTHING I HAVE ENDURED SHALL BE WASTED.”
