Description:
A pattern for knitted fingerless mittens. This pattern uses four stitches cable pattern and twisted knit stitches. The fingerless mitts are knitted from the top down. You’ll cast on almost at the tip of a pinky finger and finish at the cuff, using the backward loop cast on (the pattern has a link for reference) for the thumb gusset.

Skills:
You’ll need to know how to knit in a round. The pattern doesn’t specify how to divide stitches between needles for knitting in the round. You’ll choose your preferable needles (4 dpns, 5 dpns or circular) and divide stitches as you usually do for this type of knitting.
You’ll need to know how to knit, knit through back loop, purl, do simple decreases, use cable needle for cables or knit cables without cable needle (the pattern has a link for reference)

Materials:
Yarn: 120 yds (110 m) of light worsted weight yarn
Sample made with Lang Yarns Aymara 40% Alpaca, 30% Merino 30% Rayon, 148 yds (135 m)/50 g
Needles: size US 6 (4 mm) choose your preferable type of needles: double pointed needles (4 or 5) or circular needles for the magic loop method
Notions: tapestry needle, cable needle optional

Gauge:
26 sts and 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in cable stitch pattern in the round

Size: Woman Medium, to fit 8” (20 cm) hand circumference at palm
Finished size on flat surface 8” (20 cm) long and 6” (15 cm) circumference
