Cindy squirmed nervously in her seat as she double-tapped the button on her smartphone, activating the new app she had downloaded earlier that night. The app was called "SizeShifter" and promised the ability to shrink or grow objects - or people - to any size one desired, just by aiming the phone camera at them. Clearly this was some sort of scam or prank. But Cindy was feeling adventurous.

"Hey babe, come check this out," Cindy called out to her boyfriend Brad, who was lounging on the couch in the next room, watching TV. The plus-sized young couple had been together since high school and still lived together in Cindy's family home while they saved money.

Brad heaved his bulk up from the sofa with a grunt and waddled into the kitchen where Cindy was perched on a stool. "Whatcha got there, sweetie?" he asked, eyeing the phone skeptically.

"This app that's supposed to let you change the size of things. Wanna try it out on you?" Cindy giggled.

Brad rolled his eyes. "Yeah right. I'm not falling for that, you fake my size and make me look even fatter in the pic, I'll kick your butt!" He swatted playfully at her thigh.

But Cindy just smirked. "C'mon, I promise, no tricks! It'll be funny."

"Well...okay. But only 'cause I trust you, babe," Brad relented. He struck a goofy pose, flexing his soft michelin man arms. "Size me up, baby!"

Cindy smiled sweetly, then aimed her phone at him and tapped the red "Shrink" button with a dramatic flourish. "SizeShifter" flashed on the screen. For a moment, nothing happened. Then Brad began to scream.

"AAAAHHHHH!!! What the fuck?! It's happening! I'm shrinking!" Brad hollered, stumbling back in shock as he felt himself rapidly contracting down, down, down. His clothes and the furniture around him grew enormous as he shrank to the size of a mouse, then a bug, smaller and smaller until he was only an inch tall, standing on the linoleum in his oversized clothes.

"Holy shit, it worked!" Cindy laughed with glee, aiming the phone down to get a good look at her tiny boyfriend, now no bigger than a beetle. "This is incredible!"

Brad seemed too shocked to respond, just scurrying around in circles in his too-large sneakers and shorts. Cindy grinned, then set the phone down on the counter to get a closer look at her mini mate.

Just then, they heard a key jangling in the front door. "Cin? I'm home!" called out a familiar voice - Cindy's older sister Stacy. She was back early from her trip to visit New York.

Stacy strutted into the kitchen, kicking off her stylish wooden high heel clogs. Her mini skirt rode up her thick thighs as she bent to unlace her shoes, flashing the world her bare ass in her little denim skirt. "Oof, NYC wore me out. Where you at, sis?" she called.

Cindy froze. Shit! Stacy would never understand about the shrink app. She'd freak seeing Brad like that. Cindy glanced frantically around, then spotted Brad scurrying across the floor near his oversized sneakers that now looked like houses. In a flash, Cindy snatched up a paper towel and threw it over the tiny man just as Stacy entered the kitchen.

But it was too late. Stacy strode into the room, oblivious, her wooden sole clog raised. "Cin, babe, what's up? Ohhh-omigod!" she gasped, seeing the paper towel move. In a panic, Stacy jumped back and accidentally stomped her foot down right on top of the tiny Brad.

The wet crunch of Brad's body was sickeningly audible. Cindy screamed, snatching up the paper towel. Underneath was a red smush the size of a thumb. Brad was gone, stepped to death by Stacy's clog. Killed in an instant.

"My god, Stacy, what have you done?!" Cindy screamed, hot tears erupting. "You just killed Brad! Oh god, he's dead!"

Stacy gasped in horror, stumbling back and nearly falling on her ass. "What?! No! Oh my god, yes, I'm so sorry Cin! I didn't see him there! Is that...was that Brad?!"

Cindy sobbed brokenly, clutching the bloody paper towel. "I shrank him with an app and you...you killed him!" she wailed. The sisters collapsed into tearful, blubbering, mutual shock and grief right there on the kitchen floor.
