In the class, I break down the difference between the church, a church program, and a separate nonprofit, when a separate nonprofit may make sense, what needs to be in place before you start applying for grants, and why getting a 501(c)(3) does not automatically make an organization funding ready.

The two sample applications give you something most people never get to see while they are learning, a completed training example showing the information an organization should be prepared to provide.

Both samples use the same fictional organization so you can compare the full Form 1023 process with the shorter Form 1023-EZ example.
