15-Day Kung Fu & Cultural Journey in China

Join me for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in China — a perfect blend of cultural exploration and authentic Shaolin Kung Fu training.


Set in the historic town of Xunxian, Henan Province, this journey combines authentic Kung Fu training with cultural exploration and local traditions.


Dates

From April 16th to April 30th, 2027


Itinerary Overview

Day 1 – Arrival Day (16 April)

  • Meeting point at Zhengzhou Airport
  • Transfer to Xunxian
  • Hotel check-in
  • Welcome dinner
  • Introduction to the retreat


Days 2–3 – Kung Fu Training (17–18 April)

  • Morning Kung Fu training (2 hours)
  • Afternoon Kung Fu training (2 hours)


Day 4 – Xunxian Ancient Town Cultural Experience (19 April)

  • Explore the ancient town of Xunxian
  • Visit local cultural heritage sites
  • Participate in traditional folk art workshops
  • Experience elements of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage
  • Learn traditional crafts under the guidance of local artisans
  • Free time to explore the town


Days 5–7 – Kung Fu Training (20–22 April)

  • Morning Kung Fu training (2 hours)
  • Afternoon Kung Fu training (2 hours)


Day 8 – Da Pi Mountain Scenic Area Excursion (23 April)

  • Hiking and nature exploration
  • Visit historic temples
  • Traditional Chinese calligraphy experience
  • Scenic viewpoints and cultural sites
  • Free time to enjoy the surroundings


Days 9–12 – Kung Fu Training (24–27 April)

  • Morning Kung Fu training (2 hours)
  • Afternoon Kung Fu training (2 hours)


Day 13 – Hanfu Cultural Experience (28 April)

  • Experience traditional Chinese Hanfu clothing
  • Learn about the history and cultural significance of Hanfu
  • Opportunity to wear traditional attire
  • Traditional Chinese tea experience
  • Free time to explore the surroundings

Professional photography services are available at an additional cost.


Day 14 – Final Training & Closing Experience (29 April)

  • Final Kung Fu training session
  • Group demonstration of the skills learned during the retreat
  • Optional photos and videos with the master
  • Watch a live Kung Fu performance by local students
  • Closing dinner with the group


Day 15 – Departure Day (30 April)

  • Breakfast
  • Check-out
  • Transfer to Zhengzhou
  • Departure


The schedule may be adjusted depending on weather conditions, local events and the needs of the group.



Kung Fu Training Schedule

Training sessions will take place twice per day and will combine traditional practice with practical application.


Morning Session

The morning training focuses on:


  • Qigong and breathing exercises
  • Fundamental Kung Fu techniques
  • Stances and footwork
  • Balance and coordination
  • Traditional forms practice



Afternoon Session

The afternoon training focuses on:


  • Martial applications
  • Self-defense techniques
  • Weapon training
  • Practical use of traditional movements


Each training day will be slightly different. Some sessions may include additional strength, conditioning or power development exercises, depending on the needs and level of the group.

The goal of this retreat is NOT simply fitness training or intensive physical conditioning. Instead, the focus is on learning authentic Kung Fu techniques, forms and training methods that participants can continue to practice and develop long after the retreat has ended.

Whether you are a complete beginner or have previous martial arts experience, the training is designed to provide practical skills, cultural understanding and a deeper appreciation of traditional Chinese martial arts.

No previous martial arts experience is required.


Beginners are welcome and will be guided throughout the retreat.


More experienced practitioners may also have the opportunity to focus on specific techniques, forms, weapons, or skills they wish to develop.

Additional Information

Meeting Point:


The meeting point for this retreat is in

Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport


Because participants will be traveling from different countries, each person is responsible for booking their own international flight to China.

If you need assistance with booking your flight, feel free to send me a private message — I’m happy to help arrange it for you. Once you arrive in Zhengzhou, I will personally meet you and guide you through the start of our journey together.


Who Can Join:


There is no age limit — everyone is welcome! Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. This retreat is open to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.


Dietary Requirements:



If you have any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate your needs.


Other Notes:


  • You are responsible for checking visa requirements for China based on your nationality.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all participants.

Booking & Payment


  • Your booking is confirmed only after full payment is received.
  • All payments are non-refundable, except in the unlikely event that the Retreat is cancelled by the organizer.
  • If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person, provided you notify the organizer in writing at least 14 days before the retreat start date.


Travel Requirements


  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport and any required visa to enter China.
  • The organizer is not responsible for visa refusals, missed flights, or travel delays.


Photography & Media


  • By attending the Retreat, you understand that photos and videos may be taken during activities for promotional and marketing purposes.
  • If you prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, you must inform us in writing before the Retreat begins, and we will respect your request.


Health & Participation


  • This retreat involves physical activity. By booking, you confirm you are in good health and able to participate in Kung Fu training.
  • Any injuries, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions (including allergies) must be communicated to the organizer before the retreat.


Liability


  • The organizer is not liable for any injury, illness, accident, loss, or damage to personal property during the retreat.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all participants.
