When the boys decided they needed hats, they were very specific about what they wanted. They even drew sketches! High on the priority list was a fold-up brim and blue! This hat was named by my son after Billie Joe Armstrong – one of his favorite rockstars. The Armstrong Hat is completely reversible with a wide foldover brim.
Pattern is available with written and charted instructions.
YARN: Cascade 220 Worsted (100% Wool; 220 yds [200 m] / 3.5 oz [100g]): Atlantic - 1 skein
GAUGE: 18 sts & 26 rnds to 4” [10 cm] in stockinette in the round
NEEDLES: US #7 [4.5 mm] needles; adjust needle size to achieve gauge
SIZE: 17 (20, 22)” [43 (51, 56) cm] head circumference unstretched
