Storms

A deeply personal song born in a season of pain, confusion, and searching. Walking through the heartbreak of a failed marriage, being separated from my daughter, and questioning my calling, I found myself crying out to God for understanding.

At Serepta Church, a powerful word was spoken through Jonathan Leach:

“You are Mine… You are Mine… You are Mine.”

In that moment, God gave him a vivid picture:

A small sailboat with a white sail marked by a red cross, rising through a massive tidal wave, and making it through.

A reminder that I was never abandoned.

That I was designed to sail through storms.

God was not destroying me...He was refining me.

Finely tuning every black and white key of my life…

Like a grand piano in the hands of the Master.

This song carries that message:

Even in the storm, you belong to Him and He will bring you through.
