Mersin's beginner courses are built for anyone who wants to actually learn graphic design, not just watch a tutorial, but sit with someone who does this as real work, ask questions in real time, and walk away with genuine skills and a portfolio piece to show for it.

Every course is live, one-on-one, and paced around you. No pre-recorded videos, no generic templates you can't ask questions about, just real teaching, real practice, and real feedback.

• Students or professionals who need these skills for corporate or academic work

✦ Who This Isn't For

• Already-experienced designers looking for advanced, expert-level mentorship: this course builds from the fundamentals up to a strong intermediate level, not professional mastery
• Anyone looking for pre-recorded, self-paced content: this is live and interactive only
• Anyone who can't commit to at least a few live sessions for a month

✦ How It Works

• Format: 1-on-1 live sessions over Google Meet
• Each class is 1 hour : The first 30 minutes is a live demo, the second 30 minutes you practice hands-on while being guided in real time
• Structure: 3 stages, 4 classes per stage — 12 classes total for the full course
• Assignments: A short practice task after every class, plus one full project at the end of every stage
• Placement: a quick chat before Stage 1 to understand your goals and starting point — if you already know the basics, you can test into a later stage
• Mode of Contact: Google Chats. All of the resources will be conveyed through there as well.
• Flexibility: you can start at whichever stage suits you best — you're not required to begin at Stage 1 if it's not the right fit

Stage 1 (Beginner)

1. Workspace & file basics

2. Composition & the CRAP principles

3. Color, sourcing & text

4. Typography + mockups

Final Assignment: A small 3-piece consistent design set (poster + post + story)

This is for: Total beginners — never opened Canva or a design tool before

Not for: Anyone already comfortable with basic design principles & Canva

Stage 2 (In-Depth)

1. Branding fundamentals

2. Social media design systems

3. Custom graphics & icons

4. Presenting your work

Final Assignment: A mini brand kit applied across 3 formats

This is for: Those comfortable with fundamentals, ready for branding & social systems

Not for: Complete beginners who haven't covered Stage 1 material yet

Stage 3 (Advanced)

1. Style & advanced Canva tools

2. Motion & animated design

3. Advanced layout & print

4. Capstone project: A full real piece, start to finish — portfolio-ready

This is for: Those ready to build a real portfolio piece & explore motion/print

Not for: Beginners not yet confident with Stage 1–2 fundamentals

✦ Hours & Time Commitment

Each class is 1 hour. A full course (all 3 stages) is 12 hours total, generally spread across about a month. You're not locked into the full course upfront — you can start with just one stage and continue at your own pace and budget.
