The Nest Hundred Years

Both the world and the Church — the unsaved and the save — are focused on the year 2000 and beyond. Already, this new millennium has become an obsession — even an unhealthy infatuation for some. Both sinner and saint have preoccupied themselves in a sort of end-times frenzy, seized by either an optimistic anticipation known as “faith” or a paralyzing mentality known as “fear.” Everybody wants to know what is going to happen, for good or bad, during this next millennium. Inquiring minds grasp for a sense of futuristic security in a search for meaning and purpose. Are legitimate answers available? Can reasonable people expect to find direction and significance in the 21st century?
