Complete UK Maternity & Paternity Pay Calculator
An employee has handed you a MATB1, or told you they are adopting or becoming a dad. Do they qualify? What is the weekly rate, when does pay start and stop, how much goes on each payslip, and how much can you claim back from HMRC? This calculator answers all of it for every case in one workbook.
Made for UK employers, practice managers and bookkeepers under the 2026/27 rules: £194.32 a week or 90% of average weekly earnings if lower, with 90% of AWE for the first 6 weeks of SMP and SAP, and a £129 lower earnings limit. It covers Statutory Maternity, Adoption, Paternity and Shared Parental Pay.
