PSC Chiropractic MCQ Textbook, Volume 1: Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology

Jiro Yamahata, BCSc., DOMP · PCC PRESS, Osaka · 2026

Know the material, not the pattern.

Volume 1 of the PSC Chiropractic MCQ Textbook turns the PCC PRESS foundations of anatomy, physiology and pathology into 1,232 original multiple-choice questions. Every question has four options and one best answer, and every answer page gives the correct option, an explanation and the exact chapter, page and section of the source text.

Part One, Anatomy, follows The Body Itself, a contemporary study of Mabel H. Palmer's Anatomy (1923).

Part Two, Physiology, follows More Than Machinery, a contemporary study of Harry E. Vedder's Chiropractic Physiology (1916).

Part Three, Pathology and Symptomatology, follows The Language of Symptoms, a contemporary study of James N. Firth's A Text-Book on Chiropractic Symptomatology (1925), with an emphasis on recognition, red flags and referral.

The questions follow the chapter order of the source texts, so the book can be used alongside each course or as a complete review before examinations. Historical teaching is kept distinct from contemporary evidence throughout. Four questions sit on each right-hand page with their answers overleaf, and the answer key is balanced and audited so that no letter pattern gives answers away. The back matter adds a full answer key, a chapter-by-chapter score record, a glossary (including Firth's vertebral "places") and an index.

Written for students of PALMS School of Chiropractic and for any chiropractic or manual-therapy student preparing for examinations in the basic and clinical sciences.
