Custom Order Charges for Zen Cart

Custom Order Charges adds as many as three separately named charges to a Zen Cart order. Each charge can be enabled independently and configured as either a flat amount or a percentage of the product subtotal.

Compatibility

• Zen Cart 2.1.0 through 2.2.2: encapsulated Plugin Manager package
• Zen Cart 2.0.1: traditional installer
• PHP versions supported by the applicable Zen Cart release

Zen Cart 2.0.1 does not discover order-total modules inside zc_plugins, so that release uses the traditional installer. Neither package modifies existing Zen Cart files.

Important behavior

• Percentage charges use the product subtotal as their basis.
• Charges do not compound and are not calculated from one another.
• Minimum-order thresholds also use the product subtotal.
• Amounts must be zero or greater. Negative values are treated as zero.
• This module creates charges only. Use Zen Cart coupons or discount modules for discounts.
• Each tax class is applied independently. Confirm the appropriate tax treatment for the store's jurisdiction.
• The module's sort order must place it before ot_total.
