Embracing Trust

Eleanor Singh has assembled her Tactical Intervention team and started building emotional bonds with all four of them. After their last assignment, time-off between deployments should be relaxing, a time to visit family and reconnect with each other. But it’s never that easy. Instead, the team finds themselves fighting for survival.

Aidan Sawyer, the team’s medic, chooses to expand his abilities with a cutting edge surgery, one with risky side effects. Now, he can heal by touching, but the effort leaves him dangerously drained and sometimes unconscious. It’s the price he pays for keeping his partners safe.

When an explosion endangers his crew—his family—Sawyer has to take the ultimate gamble. But will it pay off? Or will he trade his life for that of someone close to him?
