Three years she grew in sun and shower,
Then Nature said, “A lovelier flower
On earth was never sown;
This Child I to myself will take;
She shall be mine, and I will make
A Lady of my own.
- by William Wordsworth

Sun and Shower is a circular shawl, knit center out, using Titus Lace in the Sunrise shade. The shawl is second in the four-shawl collection, Four Seasons. This Summer shawl draws its name and inspiration from William Wordsworth’s poem “Three Years She Grew.” The circular shawl knit in the Sunrise shade represents the Sun and hence nature. In this poem, the poet personifies nature. He points out to the great influence and power that nature can have on human life. The poem teaches us the universal truth about the circle of life, that is - we are from nature, we are sustained by nature, and we all have to return to nature. So, in effect, there is no loss of human life after death.

About Four Seasons:
Four Seasons is a collection of four shawls/wraps for each season. Each design is inspired by a poem that celebrates that season, while also conveying a deeper meaning and philosophy of life. All the designs are knit in collaboration with Eden Cottage Yarns.
