The Spite Awards: Single Poem Award

The Spite Awards are a grant for artists and activists of all levels. This grant is given in the spirit of the solidarity and joy that cannot be extinguished, despite the best efforts of right wing entities and the billionaire class. All we ask is why these people would hate you and for your poem to make them angrier.

Funding comes from my practice as a grantwriter. and will be awarded once a year, as long as funds are available and I remember. The winners will be announced on December 11th, with winners being notified slightly beforehand. 

For those with concerns relating to income-based benefits, payment can be made via alternate means to be negotiated after awarding. 

Entries are £1 in order to stop spam or authors submitting their entire catalogue of poems.

If you would like to support this award and allow us to give more prize money, the submission fee can be increased at your leisure. Prizes will be £100 or 50% of all funds raised, whichever is greater, until funds raised allow us to award an additional prize.
