About Zuri Jay:

Zuri Jay, an extraordinary and compassionate soul, is about to celebrate her 11th birthday on January 25th. Her journey is nothing short of inspiring, as she overcame the challenge of being mute for six years and is now rapidly blossoming in her speech. Recently diagnosed with Autism, Zuri embraces her uniqueness with resilience and a heart full of empathy.

Zuri's remarkable story begins one day while riding home and gazing out of the back window. Her mother, in a conversation about her upcoming birthday and the potential for receiving gifts, asked Zuri what she would like to do with the money she might receive. Zuri's response was a testament to her kind spirit – she expressed her wish to give peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to people without homes.

Since that moment, Zuri, along with the support of her family, has been dedicating her birthdays to spreading joy and meeting basic needs for the homeless community. Each year, she actively participates in putting together goodie bags filled with her favorite snacks, PB&J sandwiches, soda, and essential hygiene products. Zuri's dedication extends beyond the act of giving; it is a profound expression of love and compassion.

During the annual birthday celebration, Zuri, adorned with a contagious smile, is driven through various parts of the city to distribute these thoughtful goodie bags to those in need. Her generosity and selflessness speak volumes about her character, proving that age is no barrier to making a positive impact on the world.

Despite her love for these personal interests, Zuri chooses to use her birthday money to bless others rather than indulging in personal desires.
