A Lost Jon Finds Peg's
Even heroes need a place to hide.
After losing the love of his life, General Jon Ryan wants only one thing—to disappear.
He leaves humanity's politicking and neediness behind and escapes to Granger, a remote farmship where no one cares that he once saved humankind. There he finds Peg's Bar None, a ramshackle dive run by Peg: a woman with the vocabulary of a pirate, the bedside manner of a chainsaw, and absolutely no interest in worshiping some famous heroes.
Peg insults Jon, throws him out, threatens to kill him on an hourly basis... and somehow becomes the one person who sees through the legend into the grieving man that lies beneath.
But peace never lasts. The fleeing humans need all the help they can get. So Jon's past that he's been trying to outrun catches up with him. It does so in the form of Mandy Walker, the tough-as-nails President. She will try to force him to choose between drowning in his grief or becoming the man the galaxy still needs. Hmm, irresistible force versus immovable object. Who's taking bets?
Heartfelt, hilarious, and packed with Craig Robertson's trademark banter, A Lost Jon Finds Peg's is a story of grief, friendship, and discovering that sometimes salvation waits in the most unlikely bar in the universe.
