Man's willingness to alter God's Word has damaging consequences for understanding the Scriptures. There are numerous scripture translations and revisions, which can lead to confusion, as some argue that the Bible is confusing and contradictory. Within God's written scriptures, the reader is warned about the deceiver, the prince of this world, the devil, and many more descriptions used to define Satan. We should be able to conclude that man has a spiritual struggle between the flesh and the spirit - Christ vs. Satan. With the influence of denominationalism on scripture interpretation, it is challenging to understand God's Word and apply it to our lives. With the same Bible in the hands of pastors, preachers, and teachers, and all having a different understanding of what the Bible says, it proves that another entity in the mix is confusing.
