This is a pair of our Hickory practice swords.
Handmade Japanese/Korean style practice sword crafted from Hickory, which is widely regarded as one of the best species in the world for practice weapons. Approx. 41" long and 1.5lbs. These weapons are put through a specially designed roller press to compress the wood fibers on the striking edge, reducing the potential for denting or splintering, and are then soaked in high quality, 100% tung oil for over 24 hours. This is a polymerizing oil, which means as it dries, it hardens and bonds to the wood fibers, filling any voids and further hardening the wood.
