WKSJ-00 OSNOVA is the signature black and white LUT from WERKOSTROJ.

Available for free, with optional pay-what-you-want support.

Built as the foundation of the WERKOSTROJ tonal system, OSNOVA converts color images into real monochrome with a dense, mineral, and austere photographic response. It is not a vintage preset or a generic black and white conversion. Its character is based on solid midtones, controlled highlights, disciplined whites, and shadow density with selective retention.

The result is restrained, industrial, and less digitally polished. Midtones move toward lead, cement, graphite, and mineral mass. Highlights stay contained. Shadows gain weight without automatic crushing.

OSNOVA was designed for images that need stronger tonal structure, a more sober black and white presence, and a controlled photographic base.

Compatibility

OSNOVA is delivered in 3D .cube format and is intended for photo, video, and color-grading applications that support .cube LUTs.

Use the 33-point version for the broadest compatibility and lighter workflows.

Use the 65-point version when your software supports higher-resolution 3D LUT grids and you want the denser version of the same tonal behavior.

Recommended compatibility includes DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and other applications with support for 3D .cube LUTs.

OSNOVA does not add grain, halation, dust, scratches, blur, optical softness, or local image effects. It performs a global monochrome and tonal transformation through a 3D .cube LUT.
