The Alchemy of Happiness
Al-Ghazali wrote The Alchemy of Happiness after walking away from a prestigious teaching career in the middle of a spiritual crisis. What came out of that crisis is one of the most accessible entry points into Islamic mysticism ever written: a practical guide to self-knowledge, discipline of the soul, and the path toward genuine contentment rather than the fleeting kind.
This edition is Claud Field's 1909 English translation, the standard public-domain rendering, prepared fresh by Hidden Lantern Press. The original scan was full of OCR errors and inconsistent formatting; this version has been corrected line by line, cleanly typeset for e-readers, and given a real cover rather than a placeholder.
You'll receive both an EPUB and a PDF with your purchase. The EPUB works on Kindle through Amazon's free Send to Kindle tool, and on any other e-reader or reading app that supports the format. The PDF is formatted for a comfortable print-style read on a tablet, laptop, or in physical print.
