Questions to Ask a Buddhist

Tentative answers are given to twelve questions that a reasonable modern person might ask about Buddhist doctrine and practice. Among the questions explored are: 

• Can there be a single source of all beings?
• How can there be personal continuity through one or more lifetimes?
• What makes awakening possible?
• Can human beings receive knowledge from non-human sources?
• What is karma?
• Do groups of people have collective karma?
