24 in./60 cm US 6 (4.0 mm), or one size smaller than size needed to obtain gauge
Spare 24 in./60 cm needle in either size

Gauge: 22 stitches and 24 rounds = 4 in./10 cm in stranded colorwork in the round on larger needles

Finished Dimensions: approximately 23.25 in./59 cm around (measured on outside of cowl) and 8.25 in./21 cm deep

Chroma’s shifting waves of color seem to bend and weave across the chevron designs of this double-thick stranded cowl. Warm and soft and visually striking, the lined construction gives two double-thick layers of colorwork coziness.

The Calamosca Cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up, with simple two-color stranding. The outside pattern is continued on to form a lining, which is folded over and bound off to the provisional cast on. The colorwork patterns are charted only.

To knit this pattern, you need to know how to:
- do an undo a provisional cast on,
- read and work from a colorwork chart, and
- do a three-needle bind off.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited.
