This Elements of Art: Texture unit gives you 10 art lessons, printable worksheets and creative activities that explore real and implied texture. Students notice texture in the world around them, practice using it in their drawings, and complete texture-based art projects that build creativity and skill.

It is for classroom teachers, homeschool families and art educators teaching Grades 4 to 9. Lessons include a texture scavenger hunt, magnification drawing, a found object still life, unexpected textures and more, and they fit into a year-long art curriculum or work as sketchbook assignments.
