Please join me for a 6-week live, online spiritual writing course.

During class, we’ll spend time talking, learning, writing, and sharing. During the week, you’ll have optional reading and writing exercises available.

I teach spiritual writing from an inclusive, secular perspective, and many of my students have left religion or experienced a significant faith shift.

About me:

I have been teaching spiritual writing classes and workshops for more than a decade, both online and in-person. Spiritual writing is any writing that you do as a spiritual practice. There are so many different ways to engage in spiritual writing, but most often, it is writing for the self. You don't have to write for an audience. You don't have to worry about publishing or pitching or opening yourself up to someone else's judgement. When engaging in writing as a spiritual practice, you ask big questions and don't get caught up in the fact that there may not be an answer. You embrace mystery.

I teach from a secular perspective, which means that I don't have a specific religious slant for the class. People of all religions are welcome, as well as non-religious people. In fact, most of my participants are either post-Christian or have gone through a major shift in their faith/beliefs. (Think "exvangelicals.")

About the course:

Class involves both discussion and writing time. Each class lasts 45 minutes and closes with the expectation that you will spend 15 more minutes writing after the video meeting ends.

My goal for the course is to help you understand more about yourself, your experiences, and your relationship with the world around you. We do this by reading the spiritual writing of others, discussing our experiences, engaging in writing activities, and sharing our work with one another.

Please note: The course does not use any AI elements. (Don't get me started about how many online classes are mostly AI these days!)

Minimum number of students: 5

Maximum number of students: 20

If we reach 20 students, I will open a second section of the course.

If the minimum is not reached by the week before class, you will receive a full refund or the option of rolling your enrollment forward to a future class.

Class dates:
