SOCKET #6: The Queen’s Claim

The farm survived Gentechnology’s three-wave assault. Now the team needs stronger defenses and a replacement for its destroyed underground headquarters. Joe Nubes, Seris Vey, and Lamp travel to snowbound New York for a high-tech expo, searching for surveillance and reconstruction systems.

The trip brings unexpected closeness between Joe and Seris, Lamp’s questionable detective disguise, and a chance for Joe to test abilities he barely understands. Then a voice inside his living armor awakens with answers about his transformation.

The rogue essence fused with Joe’s soul was stolen from the Black Matrix Empire. Its masked Queen has come to reclaim her property. Joe has other ideas.

As New York becomes a battlefield once again, every attack leaves Socket weaker and the Queen stronger. Seris and Lamp rush to his side, but this enemy threatens more than his life. She wants his freedom.
