2. CRI-SEA-002 — Critical Literature Search, Evidence Selection and Source Positioning
Description:
This Master Prompt would focus on developing a literature-identification and evidence-selection strategy capable of supporting a defensible critical review. It would guide researchers in selecting databases and complementary sources, developing search concepts, defining temporal and disciplinary boundaries, identifying influential and dissenting literature, applying inclusion and exclusion principles, and documenting how the final evidence corpus was constructed.
A major emphasis would be placed on preventing the search process from reproducing the very intellectual dominance that the critical review is intended to examine. Researchers would actively consider whether highly cited, mainstream, recent, English-language, positive, or easily accessible publications disproportionately shape the evidence base while contradictory findings, alternative schools of thought, unsuccessful approaches, regional scholarship, minority positions, or historically important sources remain underrepresented. Source selection would therefore support critical representativeness and intellectual diversity, not simply retrieval volume.
