The Type B Mom’s Guide to Disneyland with a Toddler
You don't have to do Disneyland right. You just have to do Disneyland your way.
Before taking my newly-three-year-old, I had approximately one million questions. What do we actually need? Do we have to rope drop? What’s worth spending money on? What about naps? How much of this am I supposed to plan?
I was pretty chill about the whole thing until the night before, when I suddenly decided I needed to know EVERYTHING.
So I overthought. I packed. And then we went.
Some of my planning was genius. Some was completely unnecessary. We changed plans, took breaks, missed things, did things twice, and had the best time.
And that was kind of the revelation: the goal wasn't to maximize Disneyland. It was to have a really good day with our kid.
So I came home and made the guide I wish I'd had before we went.
It’s what actually helped, what I’d do again, what I’d skip, what I’d change, and all the things I thought mattered that really, really didn’t.
Basically, this is Disneyland with a toddler from someone who just did it, overthought the whole thing, and lived to tell you what was actually worth thinking about.
I already overthought it so you don't have to.
