B'y The Sea Crochet
This is a lighter weight addi knit meets crochet Fingerless gloves with the cuff done on the Addi Express 22 Needle! This pattern consists of machine knitting and crochet techniques. Perfect for the Spring Trail Walking. This also has a matching Beanie!
Please read through the pattern first
The yarn I used for this pattern are on the lighter side of a #4 worsted.
Makes for a less bulky Cuff
Your tension will play a big part in the cuff of the pattern
(I pulled my yarn out of the ball first and used NO tension! I was just gently holding the yarn!) I used a lighter tension as I wanted a lot of stretch in my cuff.
So that being said if you want a smaller hat use a firmer tension.
HINT : I always use a folded piece of wax paper to hold in my tension hand and have the yarn slide through it as I crank the machine! ( I treat my machines with kid gloves as I want it to last me a long time!) I have found using the technique that my piece looks better while almost never having issues with drop or twisted stitches.
So please think about the yarn you are going to use for this project as it makes a huge difference! I think Hobby Lobby’s I Luv This Yarn would be a great choice!
But I cannot get it here in Canada!
HINT Be Sure your machine is properly Mounted and secure!!!
I also use the cupboard mesh liner under my machine ( see pic below )
