VTCT Level 3 Award in facial electrotherapy (VRQ) course

The VTCT Level 3 Award in Facial Electrotherapy is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop the learner's practical skills in how to provide facial electrical treatments.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop the learner's skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable the learner to perform their own salon services.

You will learn how to safely perform the following electrical facials treatments - Galvanic facial, Electro Muscle Stimulator (EMS) Microcurrent facial, Lymphatic drainage facial & High frequency facial.

This qualification is completed through the exam board - The VTCT (Vocational training and charitable trust); and is Ofqual regulated.

Pre-requisite / Entry level:

A level 2 facial (or equivalent) qualification

Course format:

8 practical (classroom) training / assessment / exam days + online learning modules + case studies

+ monthly video calls for coursework support (dates tbc)

UV30403 Provide facial electrotherapy treatments

Duration:

GLH (Guided Learning Hours): 104. (GLH incl’s. practical, coursework, case studies, assessments, research/reading, revision, written exams)
Home study (Coursework): This is completed in your own time
Practical Training: Please check out our current course dates on our website for the practical training element, additional dates can be supplied.

Attendance:

8 classroom days (ALL dates must be attended)

+ monthly video calls for coursework support (dates tbc)

Model required:

Yes, you will be required to work on models to carry out your case studies at home.
You may be required to bring a model for one to one training, and for your assessments

Case Studies:

You must carry out and document evidence of a minimum of 4 treatments per subject

Advanced facial skincare therapist - employed or self-employed, working in a salon or spa or as a home / mobile therapist.
