The neurodiversity CPD I wish I’d had earlier in my teaching career. 🌈

Embracing Neurodiversity Through Adaptive Teaching is a practical, accessible 12-module CPD programme for teachers, teaching assistants, support staff and other education professionals who want to better understand neurodivergent learners — and make meaningful changes to everyday classroom practice.

This isn’t about trying to make neurodivergent children fit more comfortably into systems that weren’t designed with them in mind.

It’s about asking:

What is this learner communicating? What might be creating a barrier? And what can we change to help?

Across 56 beautifully illustrated pages, the programme combines understanding, reflection and realistic classroom strategies. It explores areas including neurodiversity, sensory needs, regulation, executive functioning, adaptive teaching, communication, behaviour, inclusion, working with families and turning learning into lasting change.

🌈 What you’ll get

  • 12 structured CPD modules
  • 56 pages of learning, practical guidance and reflection
  • Neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approaches
  • Practical adaptations you can use in real classrooms
  • Support for understanding behaviour as communication
  • Strategies around sensory needs, regulation and executive functioning
  • Approaches to communication and inclusive teaching
  • Opportunities to reflect on your own practice
  • Ideas for working collaboratively with learners and families
  • A final focus on turning CPD into sustainable change

💗 Who is it for?

Designed with teachers, TAs, SEND staff, support workers and education professionals in mind.

You don’t need to be a neurodiversity expert. The programme is designed to help you become more curious about the learner in front of you, recognise potential barriers and develop practical ways to respond.

✨ Why I created it

This programme grew from my own experiences in education.

There have been children throughout my career who have made me question whether the problem really was their behaviour — or whether we simply needed to understand them differently.

Those experiences ultimately changed the way I teach.

I wanted to create the kind of CPD that goes beyond definitions and gives educators something they can take back into their classroom and think:

“I can try that tomorrow.”

Because sometimes a seemingly small adaptation can be the difference between a young person feeling like they don’t belong and finally feeling understood.

Different learners. Different strengths. Brighter futures. 🌈
