Samsung 32M4002 M4000 series HDTV - picture settings & tips (2017)

This document contains picture settings and tips that I have obtained after performing complete ISF calibration on Samsung 32-inch 32M4002 (M4000 HD Ready LED LCD TV series) for the European market. Calibration was done for HDMI limited range YPrPb (component) 4:4:4 signal, Rec.709 color space, gamma 2.2, white point target D65, peak luminance (Full screen white) 194 nits.

Application examples: DVDs, Blu-ray discs, content over USB media player, HD video, broadcasting, streaming

Calibration is done on unit with software version: 1010

Settings can also be used for gaming on this TV as input lag is the same as when Game mode is activated.

Important

These documents do not represent the best picture settings since those do not exist. These are settings that I have obtained after performing an ISF calibration using SpectraCal CalMAN 2017 calibration software and they work the best for the unit that I was measuring. However, these documents will be of help since they contain the basic explanation of each control and how do they relate to each other. For example, which controls to use to make the picture brighter and not affect other settings. This allows everyone to make adjustments for better picture quality.
