It was a lazy Saturday morning and Amelia was lounging around her apartment, sipping coffee and playing on her phone. Her boyfriend Alex had left to run an errand but would be back soon. Amelia had installed a new app called "Shrinker" that claimed to be able to shrink anyone to a tiny size. She thought it sounded fun and couldn't wait to try it out on Alex when he got home.

An hour later, Alex returned from the store. "Babe! I'm back!" he called out. Amelia smiled and walked over to greet him with a kiss. "Hey honey, I installed this crazy new app I want to try out on you!" she said with an excited grin.

"Oh yeah? What kind of app?" Alex asked, setting down the grocery bags. Amelia pulled out her phone and showed him the icon. "It's called 'Shrinker'. Check this out - watch!"

She tapped the icon, aiming the camera at Alex. Suddenly, he was enveloped in a flash of purple light. Alex felt a strange tingling all over, like a mini earthquake inside him. "Whoa, I feel weird..." he said. Then he looked down and gasped - he was shrinking fast!

In seconds, Alex had been reduced to the size of a housecat. Amelia couldn't believe her eyes. It actually worked! "Wow baby, this is incredible! Aren't you just the cutest tiny thing!" she cooed, kneeling down to squish his miniature form between her fingers. Alex grunted as she tried to pick him up. "Easy babe, not so tight! You're really strong right now..."

Amelia giggled and set him back down, watching him scurry across the floor, still in shock at his minuscule size. "This is gonna be a blast! I'll have to be careful not to step on you. Hee hee, what a fun new game!"

She stood up, admiring Alex's teeny figure from her towering height. Her size 10 sandals looked enormous next to him. Just then, Amelia heard her phone buzz with a text. She turned to grab it off the couch and in her haste, nearly lost her balance. "Whoops!" she say, regaining her footing. But as she turned back around, she saw Alex right under her swinging heel- and couldn't stop herself from stomping down hard, the rubber sole completely flattening his tiny form!

"AHHH! OH GOD! BABY!" Amelia screamed. She knew she had just crushed Alex beyond recognition. With trembling hands, she slowly reached down and lifted her sandal up. There was Alex, splattered on the bottom - still very much alive but clearly injured. His miniscule body was bent sideways in a "U" shape, his limbs contorted at unnatural angles. Alex let out a pitiful groan, a thin trickle of blood leaking from his nostril.

"Oh thank G-d you're not dead but I'm so sorry honey! Oh my G-d I can't believe I just did that to you!" Amelia sobbed, scooping Alex up in her palm. She hurried to the bathroom and washed him off under the faucet, ignoring his squeals of pain as the cold water pelted his broken body. Gently as she could, she laid Alex on a clean cloth to rest and heal.

For the next few days, Amelia nursed Alex back to health, bringing him food and water, letting him sleep on a warm patch of direct sunlight. Finally, he seemed to be recovering. "I'm so sorry Alex, I don't know how I'll ever forgive myself," Amelia said, her tears dripping down and splashing on his tiny form. "I know I have to be more careful with you now..."

Alex nodded slowly, still stiff with residual pain. "I know you didn't mean to, Amelia. I'm just glad you're being so gentle with me now. But seriously, maybe we should delete that Shrinker app before anything worse happens..." He cringed as a fat tear landed on his leg.

Amelia bit her lip. "Yeah, you're probably right... God, I could've killed you! I'll get rid of it right now. I promise to always be more thoughtful from now on. I'd never want to hurt you in a million years!" She carefully picked Alex up and held him to her cheek. "I love you so much baby, I really thought I'd lost you. I'll be extra super duper careful from now on, I swear it!"

Alex couldn't help but smile, snuggling into the soft warm skin of her cheek, surrounded by her affection. Even with the pain still aching in his bones, he knew how lucky he was to have such a loving girlfriend. One who would risk everything to make their relationship exciting, even if her carelessness nearly cost him his life. Amelia would just have to be on her best behavior from now on...
