Minerva, the Roman goddess of poetry and wisdom, is also the patron of weaving. A delicate, beret-style slouchy hat, the ‘basket-weave’ appearance of this beanie’s lace will both keep your head warm and add a dash of style and elegance to your everyday wardrobe. It is worked top down and in the round, so you can try it on as you go and ensure you end up with the perfect hat to suit your own style!

Worked in DK weight, it’s a quick knit, making this the perfect project to work up in a flash for a gift, or just to add a bit of sophisticated flair to your own stash of accessories. The all-over lace pattern, while appearing intricate, is actually only a 6 st/6 row repeat. This is a fun challenge for those wanting to develop their lace skills, or for experienced knitters to enjoy during a short-term project. Written and charted instructions are included.
