About the Author

Anaya’s journey into formulation started long before formal training. At just six years old, she was mixing perfumes out of curiosity and fascination. By the age of fifteen, she was creating hair gels, oils, butters, creams, body scrubs, and other beauty concoctions in her kitchen, not just for herself, but for friends and family who trusted her creations. What began as a passion turned into a purpose.

Encouraged by those around her, she pursued deeper knowledge in cosmetic chemistry, ingredient research, and formulation theory. In 2019, she stepped out on faith and launched Natural Nay, offering skincare and haircare products while continuing to grow her expertise through hands-on practice, research, and professional education.

Today, Anaya combines over a decade of practical experience with licensed cosmetology training to help beginner formulators build confidence from the ground up. Her teaching philosophy is simple: build slowly, build intentionally, and understand what you’re creating.
