Laundromat Profit Tracker
Laundromat Profit Tracker Excel for your coin laundry business — machine turn rates, daily revenue, utilities and supplies, and a monthly P and L dashboard. Know what every machine actually earns — and whether the month actually made money.
Built for laundromat owners and coin laundry operators who need to know, machine by machine and day by day, whether the vend price covers the water, the gas, and the electricity — without accounting software. If a machine is barely turning, this workbook shows it before the next repair bill.
WHAT'S INCLUDED (6 sheets):
- Machines and Turn Rates — machine type, machines, vend price per cycle, turns per day, days open, cycles per month, revenue, cost per cycle, profit per cycle and margin percent for every machine type. Change a vend price and the whole month updates.
- Daily Revenue Log — date, washer and dryer cycles, washer, dryer and vending revenue, total revenue, machine cost, and net profit per day. Log coin and card together.
- Utilities and Supplies — water, electricity and gas (the actual October bills), detergent, vending products, card fees, repairs, cleaning and other supplies, with a monthly cost for each.
- Monthly P and L — revenue, machine cost, rent, loan payment, repairs, supplies and other expenses by month, Jan-Dec, with net profit and margin. Revenue and machine cost are formulas from the Daily Log.
- Dashboard — total revenue, cycles, average revenue per cycle and per day, gross and net profit and margin, best machine by profit per cycle and by margin percent, best machine by revenue, lowest-turn machine, revenue by machine type, costs by category, cycles by machine type, and revenue per machine.
- Cover and How to Use — start here. Yellow cells are the only ones you edit.
EXAMPLE DATA (October 2026 — replace with your own numbers):
- Total revenue 28,110 from 7,146 cycles (3,588 washer, 3,558 dryer) plus 1,350 vending revenue; average revenue per cycle 3.93; average daily revenue 937.
- Machine revenue 26,760 (washers 20,364, dryers 6,396); machine cost (water, electricity, gas) 4,447.80; gross profit 23,662.20; gross margin 84.2 percent.
- Rent 4,200, loan payment 2,800, repairs 685, supplies and vending COGS 1,455, other (card fees) 410; total expenses 13,997.80; net profit 14,112.20; net margin 50.2 percent.
- Revenue by type: Washers 20,364 (best), Dryers 6,396, Vending 1,350.
- Best machine by profit per cycle: Washer 80 lb, 9.95 per cycle. Best machine by margin percent: Washer 80 lb, 90.5 percent. Best machine by revenue: Washer 20 lb, 7,020.
- Lowest turns per day: Top-Load Washer, 2.1 turns, earning 204.75 per machine per month against 702.00 for the 20 lb washers.
- Utilities and supplies example: water, electricity and gas bills total 4,448.30 against 4,447.80 of per-cycle machine cost — the per-cycle costs are planning estimates, the bills are what was paid.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Download the Excel file instantly after purchase.
2. On sheet 1, enter each machine type's vend price per cycle, turns per day, days open, and cost per cycle. Cycles, revenue, profit and margin fill in by formula.
3. On sheet 2, log every day: washer and dryer cycles, washer, dryer and vending revenue, and machine cost. Total revenue and net profit fill in by formula.
4. On sheet 3, enter each month's water, electricity and gas bills and supply costs. The per-cycle costs on sheet 1 are planning estimates — the bills here are what you actually paid.
5. On sheet 4, enter rent, loan payment, repairs, supplies and other expenses each month, then check gross and net profit on the Dashboard.
HOW THE NUMBERS WORK:
Cycles per month is machines times turns per day times days open. Revenue per month is cycles times vend price per cycle. Profit per cycle is vend price minus cost per cycle. Margin percent is profit per cycle divided by vend price. Gross profit is revenue minus machine cost; net profit is revenue minus machine cost, rent, loan payment, repairs, supplies, and other expenses. One cycle is one wash or dry load.
WHO IT'S FOR:
Laundromat owners, coin laundry operators, and anyone buying or running a self-service laundry who wants machine turn rates, daily revenue, utility costs, and a monthly P and L in one workbook — without accounting software.
