Essential Movements - Warm Up for Guitarists
This warm-up guide collects some of the most simple yet valuable technical exercises I’ve learned from teachers, books, and years of performing.
Nothing here is “new” — these are the essential movements that appear again and again in real repertoire: right-hand string crossing for scales and melodies, pressure–release for clean fretting, left-hand string crossing, and even a tremolo preparation hidden in the final arpeggio bar.
Each exercise is a building block, designed to help you play with more relaxation, clarity, and control.
I’ve also included a short piece at the end so you can apply these principles directly to music — because technique only matters when it serves sound and expression.
I hope this little book supports your daily warm-up and helps you play with more ease and beauty.
