Understanding the Lord's Prayer

Many Christians struggle in the area of prayer. They often feel condemned for their lack of prayer and

don’t have the confidence to believe their prayers are being heard. Oftentimes, when we come to God in prayer we come with our “wish list” and then hurry out of God’s presence.

This leaves us with a feeling of dissatisfaction as we know deep inside that there must be a “better way” to relate to God than this. Olusola gives us that “better way”. He has done an excellent job of taking the Lord’s prayer and giving us a pattern for prayer that we can follow with confidence. He shares with us the proper way and attitude in which to approach God. By praying according to the Lord’s prayer we have the satisfaction that we are approaching God in the manner in which He wants to be approached and we can

leave God’s presence with the assurance that we are “relating to God as our Father and not just “using Him”. We have the sure knowledge that we are praying Biblical prayers that are effective.
