This simple and modern shawl combines color blocks with knit and purl sections that run diagonally across the shawl. The shawl is worked sideways from cast on tip to the bind off row, increasing stitches at the beginning of right side rows. Simple i-cord bind off adds a nice finishing touch.
The pattern includes a photo tutorial for i-cord bind off and a few extra templates for color planning.

Martin’s Lab Aubrey Sport (55 % Wool, 45 % Silk; 328 yds / 300 m per 100 g): 3 skeins, 1 skein in each color.
Shown in color Pearl as C1 (white), Rippling Effect as C2 (blue) and Lappato as C3 (gray)

NEEDLES:
Size 4 US / 3.5 mm needles

NOTIONS:
row counter,
tapestry needle.

GAUGE:
24 sts and 36 rows in Stockinette stitch = 4” / 10 cm, washed and blocked.
Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect the amount of yarn used and the final size of the
shawl.
