At Your Pace
At Your PACE is a trauma-informed guide designed to help you understand how Adverse Childhood Experiences may continue to shape your emotions, relationships, nervous system, and responses today.
PACE stands for Personal Action to Care for Emotional Experience. This creative acronym helps in moments of emotional disruption to support calm responses with reflection, and practical strategies to regulate yourself when life is putting you through the paces. This guide helps you prepare for and process the ACE questionnaire, recognize what may be happening within you, identify the needs beneath your emotions, and respond with greater safety, choice, and self-compassion.
Inside, you will find tools for emotional regulation, grounding, boundaries, communication, self-advocacy, and recovery. You are invited to move through every section at your own pace, without judgment or pressure. However you may feel we believe your responses make sense in context. Understanding that context can help you stop blaming yourself, communicate what you need, make informed choices about your care, and create a path forward that honors your lived experience.
Every guide book that is sold helps to sustain our community programs and the people who work with us.
By helping yourself, you are helping us. Thank you!
